  4.     Mourning his murdered lover, Playboy playmate Dorothy Stratten,
  5. director Peter Bogdanovich (Mask, The Last Picture Show) profusely
  6. thanked her mother and siblings. "They took me into their family
  7. and taught me a kind of love as selfless as Dorothy's," he wrote.
  8. Four years later he flipped over Stratten's sister Louise, then
  9. graduating from high school. "I guess we discovered we were much
  10. closer than we thought," recalled the director last week, after
  11. revealing he had married Louise, 20, in Vancouver on Dec. 30. The
  12. bride's mother wept: "I've lost another daughter." Said
  13. Bogdanovich, 49, now at work on Texasville, a sequel to The Last
  14. Picture Show: "She's sorry she said that. She's not herself at the
  15. moment." He added, "Louise is very different from Dorothy. We have
  16. a different relationship." The new Mrs. B. has already appeared in
  17. one of his movies -- just like Dorothy.
